Saugerties is a very small town, with a great bookstore and some lovely restaurants in the middle of town. It’s also home of HIITS on the Hudson, which is a huge horse show grounds, great to go watch in the summer.

Hudson is a town right on the river, with a beautiful park riverside. Warren Street is full of cafes and restaurants, a family favorite being Baba Louie’s where they make oven baked pizza and delicious salads. There are also lots of vintage/antique shops.
