This is a pub with a rotating local brew selection and a seasonal menu. Lots of vegetarian options. I love the chicken and dumplings myself. Be aware that it is 21+ due to its small space - no minors allowed.

The Wallingford strip just a quick drive south of us has not one but three ramen shops. They're all good; this one is the coziest and most generously portioned. Great rainy day fare!

From May through November, you can stroll through a beautiful rose garden then go out on the locks themselves and then UNDER the locks to see several species of salmon doing their "run" from the Sound into Lake Union. Classic PNW.

You can snag a free sail on Lake Union on Sundays by heading down to this wonderful community funded do-good museum. It's worth it just to walk out on the creaky old docks and see the boats, but getting on one and seeing the skyline behind you is awesome.
