It is located in the west of Gran Canaria. It has a difficult access since it cannot be reached by car, and the closest town to it is the small village of Tasartico. it becomes a full-day excursion that requires some effort. First you have to drive to the small village of Tasartico. A remote little town located an hour and a half drive from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or an hour from Maspalomas. You can find a small parking lot at the beginning of the path. A well-marked hiking trail of just 5 kilometers (one way). They are 5 kilometers of constant ascents and descents and a strong unevenness between volcanic, arid landscapes and lacking shade where to shelter. Approximately 2 and a half hours of walking to get there, and as many to return.

The city of Las Palmas worth a visit. Do not miss to promenade in the neighborhood of Vegueta. Discover it´s colonial legacy and museums. On Thursday nights you will enjoy the best atmosphere of the city, full of students and young people willing to eat some tapas and wine. Perhaps now with the Covid19 situation restaurants have different restrictions.
