Outstanding views across the Marshwood Vale and towards Golden cap, Pilsdon and Lamberts castle. My favourite view in the world! On a blue sky day it’s breathtaking from the hill fort!

Lovely locals pebble beach with great swimming. There is also a reef where you can snorkel and see local underwater wild life. Wonderful views across to Weymouth bay and Portland. This is the Jurassic Coast and fossils can be found here if you look in the right places. You can walk along the coast to the smugglers inn pub for lunch or a coffee. If you walk on the beach you’ll spot some boulders with fossils in! Car parking is £6 a day or £3 in the afternoon and there is a small cafe in the car park. We love to go down in the early evening for a dip when it’s quite. You can bbq on the beach, but remember always take any rubbish home.

Dorchester museum has just been refurbished and has a lovely cafe. It is a wonderful museum and has some interesting exhibits.

Our village shop and post office has lots of local produce and fresh bread made daily in the bakery in Evershot, our neighbouring village. It also has a tea room run by Monic. Lots of yummy sandwiches and cakes!

Great local produce here, beautiful local food, craft, beers, cheese, meat... a real treat to grab all the essentials. Nice gifts too! There is a cafe here also.

This is a lovely West Dorset town... great traditional market on the south street Wednesday and Saturday.... also a vintage market in the town on first Saturday of the month. Lots of independent shops and lovely cafes.

The Cerne Giant is a must! He is an ancient fertility symbol.... the village is great to explore and there are three pubs, cafe, village shop and fabric shop, you can explore here and also visit the old monastery.
