A stretch of volcanic wasteland formed by volcanic eruptions, it can be accessed by car or an organised coach. We would recommend getting a coach to access private roads around the volcanoes and the best views.

This is a beautiful 10km promenade for walking and cycling, starting from the lighthouse at the southern-most tip of the island, through the village and out to Papagayo beaches. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the way.

Cesar Manrique is Lanzarote's most famous architect and artist. His house is built into the caverns of a volcano, and is by far the most stunning piece of architecture on the island. Well worth a visit.
