Urban design, landscaping, architecture, all combine to reflect local craftsmanship and materials. Poundbury is an interesting stop on a day out and has an array of eateries and gourmet delis featuring locally-sourced produce. Queen Mother Square hosts a monthly farmers market on the first Saturday of every month as well as the annual Dorset Food & Arts Festival. Spa lovers might like to note the Monart Day Spa which boasts one of the finest thermal suites in the country.
