Great American Italian food (i.e. not super authentic). There are great options - GF, low carb, etc. Very family friendly. Get there early (before 6:30) to avoid long lines. Another good place to pick up and take it to go.

This is the casual restaurant at Terranea. They will validate your parking so you don't have to pay. The view is worth the drive. Depending on the weekend and time of year - they have bands that play in the evenings and do a great Oktoberfest in the fall.

Lots of hiking trails for all different levels - trails do not require hiking shoes - tennis shoes are fine. Bring water because it can get warm - not a lot of shade.
