Main photo: Toronto Chef Brad Long (formerly of Belong Cafe in the Brickworks) fell in love with Sharbot Lake and in 2022 moved his family here to open Belong Sharbot lake. His restaurants is modern with a menu that showcases his love of food. In the warmer months, the large patio is the place to be to enjoy lunch, dinner or drinks overlooking Sharbot Lake Beach. Faves: Sharbot Lake Salad, Calamari, Brad's wifes blueberry scones. Rumour has it he might offer weekend Brunch in warmer months. Check his FB page for info and hours. 13 minutes from cottage.
Beer Photo: The neighbourhood pub, K&P Brewery is a 15 minute drive from the cottage and is a small brewery beloved by locals. There is no tv so you're encouraged to talk to eachother and Open Mic is every Friday night from 5-7pm. They close around 8 but please check FB for current hours. No food yet (snacks) but they're working on getting the kitchen going. Fave: Relax Alice and MX387 (named after an old license plate they found on the property). Outdoor seating in the front and back in the warmer months. Owner - Daniel.

Seed to Sausage prides itself on using ethically-raised, hormone and antibiotic free pork. Tuna steaks, pork tenderloin, salmon and ribs are also available. Faves: Jalapeno and Caramelized Onion and Red Wine and Garlic sausages and if available...Truffle cured black sausage (it's amazing!) and Bresaola.

It's a hidden vineyard with an amazing large outdoor covered dining area (as well as a large indoor dining room), a beautiful big stone patio with adirondack chairs and firepits, and a sweet tasting room with snacks. There are vegetarian options on the menu. Pets are currently not permitted (hoping they change this). Faves: wine slushies - yup!, charcuterie, really anything on the menu. Great staff and simply beautiful country spot.

Rivendell Golf Club is an oasis of golf set in the Canadian Shield 20 minutes from Trillium Woods. The par 71 course at 6248 yards, favours shot placement over power and precision over brute force.
The first nine holes originally designed by legendary local golfer and designer Dick Green was twinned with a Robert Heaslip designed second nine. Through the years improvements to the fairways, new greens, tees and several layout changes have brought us to Rivendell's present form.
