LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Not only is it a short walk from our house, but the food is fabulous, fresh, healthy, the owner and employees are top notch in customer service and very friendly, and the restaurant supports local artists and your furry friends out on the patio with a bowl of water and a milk bone! The restaurant is closed on Mon and Tues but as busy as they get on other days, they deserve a break!
Have tried most everything on their menu and have never been disappointed!

If you're lucky, they have live music and even open mic night on their outdoor stage. Love the atmosphere and wait staff is friendly, too!

I have never been disappointed with the food or the service at Leed's and it has definitely become one of my favorite spots for either a casual night out or a nice meal. Their outdoor patio area is very spacious with great breezes and service, too!

Love this local, hip restaurant and all that they stand for as well. The food is full of great variety of options whether in the mood for comfort food, healthy choices, vegetarian or family friendly. The salmon cakes are a must try if still on the menu.(:

This is a delicious, Italian American restaurant in the Uptown Arts/Historic District of Michigan City open for lunch, dinner and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The artichoke piccata appetizer is amazing and make sure to get their bread to sop up the extra delicious sauce!

Depending on if you're up for a challenge, a more leisurely hike, or just getting out in nature with family or friends-there are different adventures in different areas and settings to choose from by looking up our nearby Indiana Dunes National Park. It is spread out, so do your research before you head out.(:

The Indiana Dunes State park has a beautiful beach area to hang out for the day, dunes to climb and restaurant, bathroom and even shower facilities. There is an entrance/admission fee per vehicle, but if you stay to enjoy the area for the day, it's well worth it!

This is located in the state of Michigan, which borders our Indiana city and a fairly short drive from our house. If you are into visiting a casino that does not allow smoking while visiting, then this is your place! They also have concerts by some bigger artists on occasion.

This zoo can be walked to from either of our short-term rental houses to enjoy visiting the animals, enjoying the outdoors, etc..It is not a very big zoo, so it's very manageable for most activity levels and can bring a wagon from our house to pull the kiddos. The zoo may also have some to rent as well.
