Salado is a nice place for nature trails, hikes and even a small waterfall at Chalkridge Falls Park. Clear and cool waters. Salado is clearly a small town with unique boutique shops and the well known Salado Winery Co. You can also catch 27 holes, if you golf.

Great place for the whole family. $1 per feed bag and you'll have all kinds of animals coming to you to feed them. Each car is charged to access the park and you cannot exit the vehicle while in the safari-like tour.

The Saturday Farmer's Market is a must
In 2023, the farmer's market will run from Saturday, May 6, 2023 through Saturday, September 28, 2023 from 9 AM to 1:00 PM. the farmer's market is held at Harker Heights City Hall at 305 Miller's Crossing, in Harker Heights.
In addition to fresh produce, drinks, honey and crafts, this year, the city has added benches and picnic tables in the grass area.
