About an 1.5 drive, Fredericksburg is a small historic German town known for its local wineries (a stop on the Texas Wine Trail), Christmas village, multiple local festivals and events, and tourist shopping. Definitely worth a day trip to check out!

A 1.5hr drive from your rental, and another great day trip spot. Leave early and check out the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and enjoy some fantastic local food before heading home. Also a great destination stop next time you're visiting Texas!

Another winery worth the 45 minute trek. Owned by an Argentinian family, ask about the monthly music and wine nights. If you're lucky there will be empanadas to die for!

One of my favorite places to take a group for pizza, local beer, and outdoor action! A large field for some flag football, tons of picnic tables to enjoy the woodfired pizza served onsite, beer tastings in the brewery, an outdoor bar. Ask about the goats and mushroom tour!
