Conseils aux voyageurs

Se déplacer dans les environs

No public transportation or ride sharing

Will need to use your own transportation, most places in Emlenton are accessible via bike.
Coutumes et culture

Leave it the way you found it or in better condition

We treasure what nature provides us and don't want to ruin it, we hope you'll help us commit to that culture.
Que faut-il apporter ?

If utilizing the river:

Bring beach towels, sunscreen, chapstick w/ SPF, cooler and whatever your flotation device of choice is. The river can be very dangerous and should not be taken lightly. We highly recommend you have a PFD before entering the water. You do have access in front of the house, however most times during the summer season it can be muddy and weedy as the water level changes frequently.

Bike Trail Tips and Map

The Allegheny River Trail in Emlenton will take you the entire way to Franklin, PA. Headlights are recommended as there are 2 tunnels you will need to ride through in which there is no light at the end of the tunnel (see what I did there). But really, it's pitch black because there is a bend in the tunnel, so you can't even see your hand in front of your face. At this time, the Emlenton trail does NOT connect to the trail in Foxburg. If you wish to ride the trail from Foxburg to Parker, you will need to transport your bike there. https://www.avta-trails.org/documents/maps/AVTA-Map.pdf
