It's southern California, but located in Seattle! A classic beach strip of ice cream stores, bars, eateries. Lots of people watching, and usually cars cruising as well. A tiny Statue of Liberty lives here. You can rent bikes and paddle boards, or scuba off the shore if you're feeling really ambitious. Apparently there is an octopus nursery tucked away out there!
A wonderful park for a stroll. There is a paved pathway around the lake (2.8 miles) that's filled with dogs, roller skaters, strollers, and bikes. You can rent paddle boats during the summer. There is also a Par3 golf course, sports fields, tennis courts, and walkways through the woods.
Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants located along the N/NE portion of the loop.

Green Lake
A wonderful park for a stroll. There is a paved pathway around the lake (2.8 miles) that's filled with dogs, roller skaters, strollers, and bikes. You can rent paddle boats during the summer. There is also a Par3 golf course, sports fields, tennis courts, and walkways through the woods.
Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants located along the N/NE portion of the loop.
Interesting museum at the south end of Lake Union. Some standing PNW exhibits, and rotating features as well.

The most economical way to get a boat ride in town! The water taxi shuttles between the downtown pier & docks across the bay on the West Seattle side of town.
There are two restaurants at the West Seattle dock: Salty's (more expensive) and Marination Station (affordable Hawaiian food).
$5.75 for an adult ticket.

It's a giant waterfall! You can make a day trip out of it and stop in some rural town for food/drinks along the way. There are a few wineries out in this area as well.

Excellent walking neighborhood with an old cobblestone street that houses shops/restaurants. There is a tremendous amount of micro breweries in this neighborhood as well to catch a PNW pint.

Fremont is a quintessential neighborhood in SEA. It has everything: stunning views at Gasworks park, great restaurants, shopping, beautiful craftsman homes, and one of the best breweries in town (Fremont Brewing). The Troll lives under Hwy 99 too. Highly recommend spending a day here!

Everything I've had on the menu hit the spot. The cuban sandwich is a solid choice. Small patio + inside dining. Also recommended you take to-go box and head over to Gasworks Park to enjoy your meal.

my favorite bakery in town. Fantastic baguette, great croissants, and a super dense rye bread. The have sweet treats as well - the cinnamon roll is the size of a child's head!

Honestly I've never dined in, but every time I pick up sushi it's crowded. Local spot, tucked into a strip mall. Their high volume of customers means the fish is always fresh.
This is my go-to takeout spot for sushi.

This is a great community concept. The City of Tukwila established this program as a way to encourage women to become entrepreneurs. The program is meant to support immigrants, so the food is from many different countries.
There is one commercial kitchen in back, which all of the chefs share. At the front is 5 different counters, which you can order food from. The women rotate between different days of the week, so the menus are always changing. There is a small interior dining spot, and some outside picnic tables as well.

13 Coins is a legendary Seattle spot. The interior is 70s swag, with giant captains chairs lining the cooking line. Open until 1am, so if you need some late-night eats this is the place.

The interior dining room is usually well attended by folks longing for the comradery of their fellow east African neighbors.
Sometimes it's a challenge when calling ahead for take-out (due to a language barrier), but they'll find another staff member to take your order (if you're speaking English).

This is my favorite Green Lake spot. Coffee, smoothies, grain bowls, and great breakfast options. They also have a bar. Good option to stop after you walk the lake.
