Sightseeing

The Distillery District is a brick and cobblestone-covered neighbourhood filled with local shops and distilleries. For food, I highly recommend La Carnitas Mexican restaurant and for a quick pick-me-up Balzac's coffee shop is a unique-looking stop. Be sure to check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Nathan Phillips Square is situated in front of the New City Hall (the iconic circular building in Toronto) and beside the Old City Hall (clock-tower building). This spot is best known for the colourful Toronto sign (great picture spot). If coming in the warmer seasons, you will find the sign by a beautiful fountain. In the winter months, Nathan Phillips square feature a fabulous skating rink with skate rentals available for purchase. This spot is only a 12 minute walk from our place and is a must see!

Shopping

The CF Toronto Eaton Centre is the second largest mall in Canada and only an 8 minute walk from our place. If you're into baseball or want to live up the local scene, checkout the Toronto Blue Jays shop on the ground floor to get your fan fix. Or, if you're not from Canada, be sure to checkout Roots and Lululemon. These are Canadian-made companies to fall in love with.

Parks & Nature

A small, but nice park near U of T and the regal-looking Ontario Provincial Parliament building. This park is a short walk from our place and a nice spot to get your fix of green while still in the heart of the city.
