The attraction complex also includes a one acre ornamental garden - The Garden Maze - creating one of the largest hedge mazes in the Mid-Atlantic states.

Travel north and you will reach the Big Meadows area with a scenic meadow, Byrd Visitor Center, and plenty of options for hiking, lodging, and dining. Travel south and you will ride through a quieter section of Shenandoah National Park with beautiful overlooks and trails.

Interested in a river trip? Rent a kayak, canoe, or do some tubing with Shenandoah River Adventures. Just east of Harrisonburg and only 15 minutes from Massanutten Resort, they feature river trips appropriate for everyone from beginner to expert. They can also arrange fishing opportunities. All trips are by appointment only. Same day appointments are available on some dates, and we can usually accommodate walk-ins. It is best, however, to reserve in advance. The family intentionally preserved and exposed many of the original architectural features, including brick walls, the second floor beams, and the rare, beautiful, and impressive American Chestnut columns.
