We have several great museums in our city. Arktikum museum & science center that I highly recommend, if you want to learn about the Arctic region.
The Culture Pass is a handy way to experience the most interesting culture attractions in Rovaniemi! With the pass you can learn about the history of Lapland and Arctic research in Arktikum, get to know northern contemporary art in Korundi House of Culture and familiarize yourself with the many meanings of northern forests in Science Centre Pilke. You can observe arctic animals through-out the year in their authentic environment. It’s about an hour drive south of Rovaniemi, busses run daily.

SantaPark is a Christmassy theme park known as Santa Claus’s own home cavern. During summertime, it is open from the middle of June to the first weeks of August. In winter season the park is open from the late November to the beginning of January. There is an entrance fee for the park. In SantaPark visitors can meet Santa Claus in his office and take pictures free-of-charge with him.

Be sure to check out Ounasvaara, which is a popular outdoor recreation area with winter/summer trails. The observation tower on the hillside offers magnificent view over the city and the Kemi River.

Rovaniemi Art museum’s collection represents Finnish modern art from 1940 onwards. It is in Korundi House of Culture, which is located 950m away, or a short 12-minute walk from Rovakoti Nordic Suite.

A central square - dedicated to a heavy metal band - with a lot of different boutique shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. In winter a huge Christmas tree is placed there and in summer it is popular as a place to host various events. You can find the tourist information office here as well.
