Wonderful family-friendly park with a recently updated playground, splash park and sheltered beach. The tide goes out for over 500m which gives plenty of spaces for little ones to play in the sand.
Beach volleyball courts, a boardwalk, public bathrooms and FOOD TRUCKS make this the place to spend the day!

Amazing beach with miles of sand so you can pick your own little spot of paradise. When the tide goes out, you have 5+ hours to enjoy this large sandy beach. Keep your eyes open for crabs, sand dollars, funky seaweed and little mussels squirting up through the sand.

Worth the short trip to see this more rocky beach as it has it's own vibe. Qualicum Beach is a quaint little town about 10-15 min drive away. Walk the sidewalk that runs adjacent to the beach or enjoy a walk in the low tide.

Amazingly picturesque lake that is crystal clear and very calm. A popular swimming or paddle boarding destination. Small sandy/rocky beach.

You guessed it - this destination offers the chance to see actual goats - on a roof. The roof of this market has a grassy layer for the goats to wander. A fun sight to see! Lots of little food markets here including fresh fruit and ice cream. Also nearby antique stores.

Places to Go
Cathedral Grove, located in MacMillan Provincial Park, is one of the most accessible stands of giant Douglas fir trees on Vancouver Island. Here visitors can stroll through a network of trails under the shadow of towering ancient Douglas-fir trees, majestic pillars untouched by the modern world – some more than 800 years old.
Trails on either side of the highway lead visitors through the mighty stands of this coastal forest. On the south side you will find the largest Douglas firs – one measuring more than 9 metres in circumference. On the northern side of the road you’ll find groves of ancient Western red cedar standing sentry over nearby Cameron Lake.
