Things To Do
if the temperature is over 70 degrees and its sunny, I consider Barton to be the best place in America. It is heaven. Sloping green lawns, happy people on blankets and towels, and an enormous spring fed pool that boasts clear, cold water year round. Note, Barton requires a $7 ticket March through October that you can purchase online or at the entrance.

Sloping green lawns, happy people on blankets and towels, and an enormous spring fed pool that boasts clear, cold water year round. Go and swim laps, get food or a drink at Pool Burger or Deep Eddy Cabaret before or after. If you’re not wanting to swim, just go for the food and/or the old school dive bar vibes.

My favorite Austin Restaurant just happens to be the hippest spot in town. Expect fabulous french food in a refined and bohemian setting surrounded by well dressed hipsters. Plan ahead to get a res, though walkups early and late in the evening have a decent chance of getting seated.

Patrizi’s is, for my money, the best Italian Food in town. It’s a food truck sitting in the yard of Butterfly Bar. Get your wine at the bar and the food at Patrizi’s for a low key but delicious evening.

A true glitch in the matrix, Super Thai is 2 blocks from my house, has delicious food and (almost) never requires a reservtion. The perfect option on an evening you don't want to go through the hassle of finding an open res.
