Food Scene
Locally within 5 miles Is Crossroads, and The Corner Pub in the old Rogues Harbor Inn down on the corner. Close-by take out pizza is Lakebreeze pizza, Sicilian Delight at the mall is delicious and Salt point has wonderful wood fired pizza and fresh craft beer! A fun Hibachi place in the mini mall across from Tops next to Big Lots. Otherwise there is a McDonalds by the mall and Ciao wood fired pizza restaurant. The rest will be downtown on the Elmira Road.
Just about anything you need you can find at Wegmans! Gourmet, organic,
ready to eat, to go...groceries for the kitchen! Only about 15 minutes down the hill!

This little park tucked away in Cayuga Heights has THE best private little view of Ithaca New York. I know! I spent a lot of time here as a child growing up in Ithaca! The street it is on houses many local large fraternities and sororities as well as many of Ithaca's large early homes! It is the best kept local secret !

Parks & Nature
Closest park is our local Myers Park. Great little park to see the lake, take a walk on the shore or walk Salt point next to it. Go down to the schools on Ridge Roadand take a left (there is a detour that will lead you right there now!)
Don't forget Ludlowville Falls. A tiny park in Ludlowville behind the high school.
This park is beautiful and has the best easy access mini walk to our own little Niagara Falls! Great little walk amazing photo op at the end...that will be in your family photo album forever!

Buttermilk Falls State Park
Another great park!
The Plantations have two aspects...the botanical aspect (a building and quad) to see different species...then the walking Plantations which are beautiful landscaped walking paths. There are benches and beautiful views of the local Forest Home creek.

Been going here since I was a kid. Wear old sneakers and yucky old cut offs to slip and slide down the creek...but be careful...I accept no responsibility for safety...it has slippery moss but traverse at your own risk! :-)

Beautiful natural area/preserve for walking, lake access, and sight seeing. They have signs with local information regarding our local nesting osprey!

Entertainment & Activities
Movies and shows are Ithaca's entertainment scene but Cortland has a Mini-golf (Pirate) with a glow in the dark aspect! It is about 24 minutes from The Ranch.
Now only contains a Target, Michaels, Dick's, Best Buy, Zocalo Mexican Restaurant, Sicilian Delight pizza, Subway, coffee shop and a great place to walk!
