It is the main square of the city. Families use to spent time here, lovers also... Now, with more leisure options, its less frequented but remains a central place. Surrounding the square are several historic buildings to see: Igreja Nossa Srª da Graça (church), Praia City Hall building, the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic and Palacio da Cultura (where you can find art exhibition and where you can have a coffee). Close to the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic is the Miradouro Diogo Gomes, from where you have a privileged view of Gamboa beach.

Quebra Canela is an urban beach, around 7 minutes by car from Mirandela. The water is excellent, and there are restaurants around where you can eat or have a drink.
