Discovery Pier- You must check it out! There’s a good chance to spot sea lions, orca whales, humpback whales or other marine life. If you like fishing you can rent fishing rods in the summer or just enjoy delicious ice cream cones the best in town.

If you want to walk on some sandy beaches or ocean trails there’s only 10 minutes drive to Campbell River Stories beach, 20 minutes drive to popular Saratoga beach or Miracle beach.

For fresh water excitement we are surrounded by beautiful lakes and river including McIvor lake only 15 minutes driving. Great Lake for boat rides, fishing, swimming, or just suntanning. There are a few sandy beaches around the lake with free parking and toilets.

3 minutes drive to the ferry terminal from the suite, 10 minutes ferry crossing- with another ferry connection to Cortes Island. There’s so much to do on the island, simply paradise. Spend the whole day there sightseeing, hiking, watch for whales on the beach, collecting drift wood/ pebbles or having a nice lunch at oceanfront Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge.

You Will need flashlight/headlamps as some caves are low and dark. Also wear sturdy shoes and light jacket.
