Join the train at it's new station in Glangwilli and take a trip into the past, on a living full-size steam railway. A new 1.75 mile long extension to Abergwili Junction opened on 1 July 2017, increasing the route length to 4 miles. Work is underway on a new visitor centre and increased line.

Miles of walks, cycling and horse riding. From small walks to good treks in stunning scenery, the forest has loads to offer. Parking is free as is access. Keepers walk is a lovely choice, 1¾ miles, 2.9 kilometres, crossing the river several times. Plus Code XR8X+CC Carmarthen is the location.

Carmel National Nature Reserve near Llandeilo is managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales; it comprises a mosaic of habitats with a distinct patchwork pattern of woodland blocks with intervening grassland rides.
