The Pearl district is a fun and hip area, with a great food & wine scene, great local shopping and many art galleries. The trip to the city is well worth but check on a reservation first. Bonus sometimes live music.

Nobel Rot has excellent food and a view of the city from the east side of Portland. Takes about 45 minutes to get there but well worth the view, dining experience and excellent food. And the east side of Portland is fun to explore.
