This is a plaza in downtown. It's not a whole afternoon activity but it's definitely worth walked by, maybe after or before a visit to the AT&T Discovery Center.

You need to make your way over to the Katy Trail! It is walking distance from the apartment. It runs North and South which means you can walk all the way down to the Knox-Henderson area or you could go all the way down to the American Airlines center downtown. Its a great activity!

West Village (the neighborhood you are staying in) is THE best! the most walkable. Has the trolly that you can take to Klyde Warren park, downtown, the Dallas Museum of Art. It's the best!

The stockyards are in Fort Worth (45ish min away) but it is a great time! They let out the longhorns twice a day to walk the streets- be sure to double check the schedule because it does fluctuate. There are rodeos, saloons, tons of Western photo ops.

The arboretum is a botanical garden that has A LOT to offer. If you love plants, flowers, and nature in general I think you'd very much enjoy taking a stroll around the arboretum.
