Take a walk on the historic boardwalk (and maybe even jump off into the water with the children) toward the rocky, yet beautiful, Town Neck Beach. Afternoons are greeted by young families who like to sun themselves on the inlet side of the sand dunes and catch crabs in their nets.

This is our family's favorite beach because it has so much to offer. Soft sand for miles, a well-stocked snack bar, and you can even drive on the beach if you choose. This beach is a must see.

If you have young children and you find yourself in town on a cold or rainy week, it is worth checking out the Cape Codder indoor water park. This place has so much for families, a great family restaurant, a full arcade and, of course, water slides and a lazy river.

While I'm not generally a fan of a restaurant in a strip mall, Cafe Chew is, hands down, the best breakfast place in town. Bob and Toebben, the owners, are always there and are friendly as ever. Lots of outdoor seating for larger groups.

Come for a burger, stay for an alcoholic milkshake and badminton! Chris, the owner, makes very creative burgers (i.e. the Bahn Mi burger is my fav), and there is plenty of space to spread out.

Looking for a quieter date night for the parents or grandparents? The Belfry is in a restored church and has a nice wine selection and food pairing. The atmosphere caters a bit more to the older crowd, but the food is fabulous.

This is the best ice cream place in the land! They have turtles, large and small, and are walking distance from a playground by the water! And if you come after dinner, you are almost guaranteed to see a train pass while enjoying your scoop! They offer kiddie cups and pup cups as well!

This is our toddler's favorite place on earth. You walk in to bright decor and an animal jumping off of nearly every wall. Large portions of tasty Mexican food, and the Signature dessert is to die for!
