Lady Bird Lake runs straight through the city and is a MUST try when visiting Austin. The Lake has various rental places where you can rent paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, etc. and hop right on the water. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time or get there early because rentals fill up fast during the warm months!

When it comes to beautiful bodies of water, it doesn’t get much better than Lake Travis. This gorgeous Lake is situated about a half hour to 45 minutes outside of the heart of Austin, but the experience is most definitely worth the drive. There are many rental options at Lake Travis. Rent a 2 story barge and throw a party because some of these boats can hold up to 50 people. If you’re looking for something a little more intimate, there are smaller Pontoons available. Jet skis are the way to go if there is only one ore two of you and you just want to get out on the lake!

Try a little bit of everything at this all you can eat sushi spot! There are two Sushi Junai’s, cleverly named Sushi Junai 1 and Sushi Junai 2. Sushi Junai 1 is located on the south side of Austin and 2 is located on the Northern side. We’ve tried both and they are equally delicious! However, one little tip, Sushi Junai 2 has a bit of a bigger menu with more options. Walk ins are welcome. Go as a couple or a group and eat as much sushi as humanly possible with a hour and a half time limit.

I’ll admit this is the first place I tried Korean BBQ so I may be a little biased, but this place is amazing! If you’ve ever had Korean BBQ then you know what you’re doing. If you haven’t, be sure to read the menu ahead of time. Korean BBQ has a lot of shareable plates options so it’s a little different from a traditional restaurant. This place is pretty casual and usually isn’t too hard to walk in and get a table!

I ordered a drink that came in a real pineapple!! Most of their seating is outdoors so it’s a great place to enjoy when the weather is nice. They also have a live Mariachi band on Wednesdays if you’re looking for dinner and a show!
