Walkable! Date Night. Italian. Delicious, and unpretentious-as it should be. Their Italian wine list is as robust as the Italian wines themselves. Get there for happy hour before 6pm and all their drinks are half off. (At time of writing)

South Congress is a great place to spend the day shopping and eating your way through Austin. It's too far to walk from our house, but you can scooter there. Scooters are very popular on South Congress. I guess because there's such a long strip of stores and restaurants to get to. Weekends often host outdoor markets with local vendors. Great spot for a few souvenirs. Favorite food spots here are Hopdoddy Burgers and Home slice Pizza.

We consider it the area for the recently graduated college crowd. We often go to west 6th to watch soccer or football games.

You'll see plenty of people out lounging on blankets, having picnics, playing games. Volley ball courts are open to the public and you can often just pop in as a sub on someone's court. Slack lining, yoga, dancing, soccer, birthday parties, you name it. Everyone enjoys being outside on the beautiful lawn under the Austin Skyline.

This particular greenbelt is considered one of the top hiking trails in Texas. But this area is not only for hiking. During the early summer, there are many popular swimming spots. The spyglass entrance and the sculpture falls entrance are the two most popular spots for swimming. Campbells hole (at the spyglass entrance) is a cliff jumping spot. The green belt is dog friendly. Remember to bring your water shoes if you plan on getting in the water- it will be MUCH easier on your feet!
