You can spend an entire day shopping and enjoying the Regal Cinema where once was a cement plant! You'll spot the four historical smokestacks from miles away.

Ok so nothing fancy here, but INCREDIBLE breakfast tacos or late night TexMex! My personal favorite are the bean and cheese breakfast tacos with their red salsa. It's a staple in for South Texans!

A must-see historic Spanish mission and fortress compound founded in the 18th century by Roman Catholic missionaries in what is now San Antonio, TX. It was the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, where American folk heroes James Bowie and Davy Crockett died. Today it is a museum in the Alamo Plaza Historic District and part of the San Antonio Missions World Heritage site. Check out the Historic (and haunted) Menger Hotel next door afterwards for a drink at their original bar. You won't be disappointed!

San Antonio's most famous attraction, the River Walk is a city park and special-case pedestrian street in San Antonio. It winds and loops under bridges as two parallel sidewalks lined with restaurants and shops, connecting the major tourist draws from the shops of Rivercenter mall, the Arneson River Theatre, Marriage Island, La Villita, HemisFair Park, Tower Life Building, San Antonio Museum of Art, to the Pearl District and the city's five Spanish colonial missions, which have been named a World Heritage Site. During the annual springtime, Fiesta San Antonio, the River Parade features flowery floats that float down the river. If you're visiting during the holidays and can reserve a boat ride, there is a phenomenal view of holiday lights!

Originally home to the Pearl Brewery, which operated from 1883-2001, the Pearl District offers shops, a twice-weekly farmers market, phenomenal restaurants, and an outdoor park area. I highly recommend "Cured", which has been featured on many local food critics' lists for South Texas!
