City/town information

Dyersburg is the county seat of Dyer Co Tennessee. We are located off the Mississippi River in NW Tennessee. Located just 30 min from beautiful historic Reelfoot Lake, which is famous for Eagle watching, game fishing tournaments and just a day at the state park. We are also 41 min from Discovery Park, a hands on museum and learning center in Union City. We are 23 min from the Full Throttle Distillery in Trimble. Only 32 Min from the Tennessee safari Park in Alamo. We are an hour and half from Graceland, home of Elvis Presley, the Sun Studio museum, and Beale Street. All great place for a day trip. We have 2 great golf courses - The Farms and Dyersburg Municipal. Okeena City Park is an 8 min drive that offers a public pool, playground and beautiful walking trails adjacent to Dyersburg State Community College. Forked Deer River Park is fairly new downtown and 11 min drive away. It offers great wooded walking or running trails, kayak docks and a kids park with a splash pad. It is located beside our Farmers Market which hosts local food and vendors each Saturday morning. We are 10 min from shopping! Check out retailers in our new Dyersburg Commons Shopping Center where you will find Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Old Navy, and many more. Also check out our local small businesses in historic downtown. For boutiques, try Up town Girl, Amy Janes, Tempe's or Colors of Grey located along East Court Street.
