Our city park is home to cutler donahoe covered bridge but thats not even the best part! There is a hedge maze to explore, two play areas, an 1800’s cabin, several chainsaw carved sculptures, two shelter houses, and lots of green spaces to run and play or cop a squat. There’s also a limestone bridge and Clarks Tower. I don’t suggest driving to the tower with anything bigger than a suburban but if you’re adventurous, its a great hike or bike ride.

Take a step back in time and wander the grounds or visit the chickens and peacock that roam the yard. If you’re a history lover you’ll want to spend at least a few hours here!

Shopping

Skip the box stores and enjoy these small family and locally owned businesses!
If you’re a fiber artist, knit, crochet, spinning or needle felting, don’t miss Heartland Fiber. Amy has the best supplies around! If you’re not into all that, stop up and say hi to whoever happens to be sitting around the table. Those ladies are a hoot! Oh, and they sell HOBO bags as well. My favorite! You’ll find them above the drift on the west side of the square.

Love this place. Always find unique gifts but sometimes I have to keep them for myself!

Try all kinds of localish beers, wines, and ciders or a bougie cocktail at The Drift taproom and eatery. If the weather is nice, walk the couple blocks to the square (the cocktails are strong) and enjoy the outdoor patio looking up at the courthouse!
