Best known for their Detroit style pizza (served at our wedding) but don’t forget to try their sandwiches too. Check hours prior to going, they are usually closed the first few days of the week.

Recently got a facelift and features outdoor dining overlooking the river. More upscale and reservations required but a great date night spot or place to celebrate a special occasion.

Hands down our favorite little Italian joint in the county. Reservations required, call ahead or go online. Every single dish is mouthwatering. Nice but casual. Head to old settlers park down the road to catch the sunset before or after!

This is a local and tourist top spot for great views of Lake Michigan. It’s a bit steep but is one of the shortest trails in the area for that impactful of view.

If you can’t make the steep hike up Pyramid Point, this is another easy trail to get some pretty great views. This is our go-to when we don’t have a lot of time and have our kid with us who wants to walk alongside!

About a 60-90 minute hike through the woods to an overlook where you go through heavily wooded area, an open field with historic barns and finally to the overlook of Lake Michigan. It’s our favorite in the area hands down.

Leland, affectionately known as Fishtown, is a step back in time and has everything you could need between ice cream and candy shops, shopping, restaurants, views of the lake and of course FISH! If you are a fan of the east coast, this is basically the east coast equivalent in the Midwest.

Located in downtown Glen arbor, across from Arts, and just a quick stroll from Lake Michigan is this adorable, fun and lively spot with a HUGE outdoor area with chairs, games, fire pit, etc. and often featuring events, live music and games. Also, open late. Way later in the summer than most wineries. Grab a glass while you are on the waitlist for a table at Arts and hit up the beach at the end of the road for a sunset pic before you head home for the night.
