Zip line or not, this spot is beautiful. If you're planning a trip to Hilo along the Hamakua coast, and its been raining as it often does, stop in for a walk around the gardens and see the waterfalls.

Even if you cant make it to the gardens at least take a drive along the 4 mile scenic route that takes you to this spot near Onomea bay. Feels like tropical "old Hawaii" with streams and waterfalls.

The beach here is not stellar (good for Keiki). However, from the south end of the park there's a trail to one that is. Follow it to a little, lesser known beach called Mau'umae. Beautiful easy hike.
