I LOVE Tex Tubbs... Can't get enough. The margaritas are fabulous and the tex mex food is fun and creative and delicious. Lots of vegetarian options - try the fried cauliflower taco:)

Super yummy Thai... One of my favorite winter restaurants... Try one of their noodle soups but be prepared to wait for a table on a weekend for sure!

My FAVORITE restaurant. If you like dumplings, buns or ramen, this is the place for you. Their sister restaurant on the square, Tavernakaya, is also amazing!

So good! Pick up a slice or a whole pie. The Mac and Cheese Pizza is better than you can imagine, trust me. Plus they make great salads! Easy curbside pickup these days too.

A local favorite. The Harmony is the Schenk-Atwood neighborhood bar. Period. They have great music, great food (oddly enough), and the total feel of a place that is well loved and settled into the hood.

If you want to avoid the hubbub of WIlly East (it can be hard to park and it is busier in general) but want the coop quality, then go just a little further to Wily North. All the same goodness with easy parking, no lines, and the same friendly staff :)

Walk to the gardens! They are free (the inside gardens do cost $1-2) and they are delightful! Make sure to see the Thai Pavillion... I think the only 1 in the US! One of the gems of Madison for sure!
