There is a fish ladder a short 3 minute drive ( or 30 minute walk ) from Field and Fern. It’s quite something to see. To get there, when you are leaving Field and Fern turn left coming out the driveway. Follow that road and keep left until you come to the pavement and the stop sign. When you get to the stop sign turn left ( you will see a bridge straight ahead ) This bridge overlooks the fish ladder.
If you turn right when leaving Field and Fern you will see the one lane bridge you crossed coming in. This is also the Waughs River and is a great place to cool off and or fish.
