Bus Route # 50 takes you to Columbia City Light Rail Station Connecting the Airport and city access, with a station located few steps away from bus stop, the LinkRail is reliable, quiet, and quick to get to/from the airport, stadiums, and downtown. Purchase a ticket on the platform and hop on when the train arrives! There's only one 'line' though, so traveling east and west is not as straightforward via Link, however, you could easily connect via bus/metro transportation.

Though nearly every square foot of Discovery Park is impressive, don't miss an opportunity to learn about this lands' rich past and present history at the United Indians of All Tribes' Daybreak Star Cultural Center. Indigenous Duwamish and other Coast Salish peoples have resided in the Seattle area for centuries, and this center provides a few ways to learn more about this, including a permanent art collection. Also not to miss: the historic West Point Lighthouse, built in 1885 and still active today.

Particularly in spring when Azalea Way is in full bloom and in fall when the Japanese Garden is ablaze with color, the arboretum is a gorgeous place for picnicking, kayaking, bird watching, and just wandering around the gardens. Any standout features or must-sees? Watching waterfowl from the floating docks on Union Bay, and collecting fallen leaves in the Japanese Garden are my favorite things to do in the arboretum. The Pacific Connections Interpretive Center shelter was built as a community art project using fallen trees from the park.

On a clear windy day, it's fun to watch those same paragliders and soar. You start the 3.8-mile hike in the field where paragliders land, and summit at one of the clearings where they take off. In between, there are wildflowers in spring, mossy trees, and ferns year round. 11322 Issaquah-Hobart Rd. Southeast Issaquah, Washington, 98027 United States

A remnant of the 1962 World’s Fair, the Pacific Science Center is a beloved institution in this high-tech town. The museum has been constantly redesigned both to reflect new scientific knowledge and to make the exhibits as engaging as possible to visitors of all ages. Highlights include the animatronic dinosaurs, a giant insect village, and a science playground. There are also two IMAX theaters and special exhibits that come through on a regular basis that are often some of the coolest exhibits Seattle gets in general (King Tut visiting, for example)
