BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS IN REDDING! They cook everything fresh on the grill for you: your choice of meat (I go with half bacon, half chorizo), two eggs and potato slices (I ask for light potatoes to minimize the carbs). Then you choose what toppings you want, like at a Chipotle. Friendly service, great food. Breakfast burritos are only served until 10am so don't sleep in too late.
The Baja burrito for lunch or dinner is my favorite Redding burrito-- the Chile Verde is my favorite.

And they have the best chips and salsa in Redding. They also give generous portions. Prices, especially of late, are pricy so know you're looking at around $18-22 per dish.

View 202 is where all the cool Redding people fine dine, so I have to sneak in. They're known for their beautiful view overlooking the Sacramento River and in the evening the magical ceiling lights add that magical glowing ambience to your table.
This will be pricy, maybe not Moonstone pricy, but afterward if your thick wallet was giving you back problems, it won't anymore--say goodbye to those greenbacks. And if you pay with credit card, sorry, I don't have a witty joke for that.
RECOMMENDATION: Come for Brunch

The most LA restaurant in Redding. Not the biggest portions but great location, nice ambience, definitely upper end menu. I like the burger or pizza.

It's a little out of the way north of Redding but there breakfast is good and they have a good working space and some fresh coffee specialty drinks.

Not only do they have good coffee but their breakfast items are DE-LISH. I like their avocado toast and I like their waffle with almond butter. Yum!

OPEN 24 HOURS. Some people hate on Dutch Bros but I don't know why. If you like coffee with your sugar, Dutch Bros knows how to do it. Also it's the only coffee place in Redding open 24-hours.

CAJUN STYLE. Bantam Kitchen is a local secret and not very well known in Redding. I'm a bit hesitant to give this place more publicity because I don't want it too crowded on those weekend nights. Good draft beers, good Southern-ish food with a Cajun flare.

Only about a 20 minute drive north from the Golden Rest. This is a fun tour experience where you take a small boat across the river, then a bus ride up the mountain to where the cave entrance is. When I went there was a bunch of bats sleeping on the ceiling.
