Still a classic Cornish fishing village, BUT it does get very busy and honestly very touristy. I still feel you could have a nice day out and there some good restaurants to pick from.

Rocky/stones for beach, but a lovely tucked away cove, excellent for snorkeling and only about 8 minutes drive from our apartment or a nice hours walk. Dogs allowed all year round.

Further along the coastal footpath from Prussia cove you will come to Piskies Cove, probably one the best coves in the County. Excellent for snorkeling and beach has a small amount of sand, but manly rocks. Dogs allowed all year round.

Classic Cornish village along the coast from St Ives. There is a lovely coastal walk from St Ives to Zennor which you can stop off in The Tinner Arms for a pint and some food.

Such a beautiful beach and village. It has excellent art shops and the beach is well known for surfing when the surf is up. The beach is lifeguard during the main season and dogs are not allowed between 15/05 to 31/08 Surf lessons are also held on this beach.

This is one of the most outstanding beachs/coves in Cornwall. Yes, its about a 45minute drive from the apartment but still worth a visit.

If you are going over to see Kynance Cove you can pop around the coastal footpath and drop down into Church cove. Yet another lovely beach over in this part of Cornwall.

Excellent beach, three miles of golden sands and is excellent for surfing when the surf is up. Its about 15 minute drive from the apartment. Its lifeguard during the season and surf lessions are also held on this beach.

About an hours drive from the apartment and if you are going to visit Falmouth this is worth a visit. Remember you can get the train from St Erth to Truro and then catch the branch line to Falmouth if you don't want to drive.

If you are planning to go to Padstow for the day, the National Lobster Hatchery is worth a visit, very interesting and the do superb conservation work for the local area.

For a gastronomic delight we would recommend KOTA in Porthleven. The food is superb. This is a very popular restaurant and we would recommend that you book in advance (at least 4 weeks notice).
