There is no public transportation here (update in 2022) so taxi will be good choice for group of friends or family wanna travel around the area, from Sapa to our village and back.

They just try to sell their stuffs. They're super friendly and nice so just be friends with them. They speak pretty good English, somehow French as well. However, if you don't want to buy anything from them, just kindly say "No, thank you" before so they won't follow you. Saying "No" if you don't want to buy anything is being nice and honest to them. Be happy, be free and enjoy your trip. Treat them as friends and you will have fun :D We let them feel free to come into our home (front yard) as neighbors but please feel free to let us know if you feel uncomfortable, we'll help with that.

Here the local life is really simple. The local kids is really friendly, free and wild. We love their eyes, their smiles, their laughs and their innocence :D Their playing yard is rice fields. Their swimming pool is any where in the river, stream that they can have fun. Their joy is running around the village with barefoot or just passing by any house in the village and asking for picking some guava. So, bring your kids here and they might have fun together, as a memorable part of their childhood.

As house located in the middle of Bamboo forest or Terrace field, so some new friends could reach out to you: mosquitos, small spider, ants, ... but they won't harm you. We let the team spray all house twice every year, so currently house won't have net because to us, nature still the best! You might bring anti mosquito spray just in case :D
