Elk Rapids is a small town with a lot of charm, and right on the water, too. Harbor Days is a fun event here in the summer!

Sightseeing
This is a must-see for anyone visiting the area for the first time. The top of the first hill gives you a gorgeous view of Leelanau County, and the continued climb to the lake rewards you with incredible views of Lake Michigan. The climb to the lake can be intense and long, especially on hot days, so bring lots of water!

This is a must-see for anyone visiting the area for the first time. This is a great spot for local produce and locally made goods. It’s a very fun place to take kids for a couple hours in the fall.

This is a beautiful beach on the East Bay just a 2 minute drive away! It has a large sandy beach area, restrooms, and lots of parking. Super convenient and fun!

One of the best (imho) local breweries! The beer is innovative, and award-winning, and the food is delicious. Always substitute for pecorino fries :) Also a great vegan burger!

Excellent beer with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. This one doesn’t see as much tourist traffic as the restaurants on Front St, so it can be a better spot to grab a quick beer during the busy summer season! Food truck is awesome, too 😊
