Restaurant “Gewoon Gouds” – “Gewoon Gouds” is Dutch for “Just especially Gouds”, at this restaurant (open all days/hours of the week, but Sunday) you can enjoy all kinds of typically Dutch recipies with a twist of Gouda (like Gouda cheese and the famous “stroopwafel”). There is also an outside terrace, which gives you a direct view on the old cityhouse of Gouda. Price is very good here, not too expensive.

Steak & Cheese at “Koeien en Kaas” – Do you like good meat and/or recipes with Gouda cheese? Than this restaurant is the place to be. The menu changes with the seasons and all food is prepared with local goods.

Italian restaurant “Roma” – A very cosy, nice Italian restaurant. Let the chef surprise you with very delicious pizzas and pastas. I can highly recommend this restaurant if you are into Italian food. The price is really good.

Organic food at “The Kleischuur” – A restaurant with mostly vegetarian recipes, organic food and healthy food and drinks. The location of the restaurant is very nice, right at the side of water. You can also rent a boat here to sail through the city.

Best icecream store in Gouda! You maybe have to stand in line for a few minutes, because it's always busy here. Every icecream they offer is homemade and all the tastes are delicious. I would definitely recommend to get an icecream here!

Food & Drinks at “The Zalm” (translated: The Salmon) – A nice ambience restaurant where it is also very nice to have some drinks. In agegroup 25-45 this is the most popular restaurant and drink place in Gouda. Go see for yourself! The Zalm closes at 01:00 am, after that you can go to another club.

Museum harbour Gouda – Here you find all sorts of old boats, all with their own story. You can walk around in the museum harbour and read some information at some of the boats. Don’t forget to cross the water via the old white bridge. It looks impossible, but you can cross it. Have a cup of coffee? That’s also possible at the “Museum café”, a tourist point and monumental property.

This is a small park, nearby my apartment. On most weekends you'll find all kinds of events being organised here. Otherwise, a very nice, small city park to take a walk.

Behind and around the big "Sint Jan Church" in Gouda, you find a small green area/park. When you visit the Sint Jan Church, you will automatically also walk through this nice green area. You also find some benches there where you can sit on for a break (maybe with an icecream from "David's Gelato", which is nearby).
