Parks & Nature
Best one day walk in NZ, crosses the saddle between two great mountains in the Central Plateau - Mt Tongario and Mt Ngauruhoes. Amazing landscape and views - Emerald Lakes, Blue Lake. Need good level of fitness, especially for side walk up Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom). If do whole walk, need to organise shuttle bus. Recommend hiring a guide if doing walk in the winter
