Awesome French bistro with nice filet and salmon dishes. Great wine selections too. It's in an old row house which helps create a romantic atmosphere.

This is my favorite restaurant in the District. The cocktails are strong and delicious. They serve ramen and dumplings, with daily roasts as well. The veggie tan tan mein and chicken and shrimp shumai and "the woman of paris" are my favorites. Highly recommend a trip over during your stay.

Quick and easy build your own pizza place. Very inexpensive, variety of vegetable, protein and luxury toppings. Casual dining style decor. Big hit for cheap and quick meals.

Delicious hand made dumplings for a reasonable price. Upstairs cocktail bar is a hidden gem (you can order the dumplings up there too!). One of my favorite date-night spots.

A must for all visiting DC. Le Diplomate is great for brunch and dinner. Delicious food and great drinks. Definitely worth the visit, regardless of the slightly higher price tag! Book in advance as the wait is sometimes painful

Class DC style interior with good food. They have a seafood happy hour 3-6pm and 11pm-2am which is amazing! Sit at the bar and do some people watching while throwing back some delicious oysters.

A favorite British hang out for my girlfriend, Brixton has 3 floors. A classic pub downstairs, a pumping dance floor on the second floor and a rooftop deck with a view of U street. Put your dancing shoes on for this one, you'll be there all night.

A dive bar with cheap drinks, close to all of the amenities of U Street. If you are looking for a place to grab a beer during the day and feel peckish, this is your stop for Fish and Chips. The native Brit claims its the best in DC (I tend to agree!)
