Very close by you will find the only outdoor pool in Haarlem, which dates from the 1920's, it is a monumental pool. You can spend (a part of ) the day here. There is a smaller pool to swim in and a playing pool for tottlers. For the adults and those with a swimming diploma there is a large pool with a diving board.

The playground our kids grew up and still frequently go to, is ideal for kids until age 12.
There is a special gated area for the smallest children and sufficient playing facilities for all the other childrens like swing sets, slides, sandpit, etc.

Also the nearby National park Koningshof and Middenduin are ideal for running or walking, and here you might bump into a Highland cow.

Het Wed is our go to place for a swim nearby in the national park. It is extremely child friendly and free of charge.
There are no services so bring your own picnic, however there is a small restaurant near the entrance of the national park.

Zandvoort is the best place to visit if you want to go to the beach and have kids. We especially like Tent 6, because the atmosphere and staff are really relaxed.

Very well equipped XL supermarket. Almost anything for your basic needs and daily groceries can be find here. The opening hours from 07 am to 10pm. Adjacent you will find a budget supermarket (Aldi) as well.
