Norm's Scoreboard has been a mainstay dive-bar in Spearfish for decades. Actually part of Queen City Liquor that is in the same building. This is where the locals go for happy hour after work--drinks are STRONG and prices are low. Not fancy, but always a good time.

The Spearfish Recreation Path runs along Spearfish Creek throughout the town. It is perfect for biking, running, or walking. From the Apple Blossom, just walk along Jackson Street for 4 blocks until you reach Spearfish Creek. The most scenic option is to turn left (South) to head to the City Park and Spearfish Canyon.

Crow Peak is the large mountain you will see ahead of you as you drive into town from Exit 12. The parlor and one of the bedrooms of the Apple Blossom have amazing views of this mountain which dominates the western skyline of Spearfish.

Have kids? Or just like home-made ice cream? Really, who doesn't? This great little family-owned ice cream creamery is located in the former City Hall. Enjoy the idyllic scene of the working canal that flows by the ice cream shop located a mere 2 blocks from the Apple Blossom. As an interesting note, the canal actually flows directly behind the Apple Blossom as well! The pump in the front yard of the Apple Blossom near the alley is for pumping water from the canal.

Nice restaurant with a large beer selection. About 6 blocks straight down Jackson Blvd, so close enough to walk to if you do not want to have a designated driver--even though it is all the way on the OTHER side of Spearfish Creek!

This is the restaurant attached to the Spearfish brewing company. One of the two best breakfast places in town, and only one block from the Apple Blossom. This a great little diner is only 4 blocks away down Main Street. Uncle Louie opened his original diner down the road in Sturgis and has now expanded to 3 locations in the Black Hills. Small bar as well, or eat here and then go next door to the Spearfish Creek Wine Bar.

Walking to Mexico might take a while, so walk to the Antunez Mexican restaurant instead! Great margaritas at the bar, and a much shorter walk back to the Apple Blossom!

Mexican food and classy wine bar might not immediately come to mind as a great combination, but Antunez does it marvelously! Only 2 blocks away--so you can enjoy all the great wine you want and still easily stumble back to the Apple Blossom.
