An excellent restaurant with such a beautiful atmosphere. "Avlilja" means garden, and you are surrounded by plants in this place. The food is top class, everything you order will be great. You can also just have a cup of coffee, tea or a drink there. Evening time is usually the busiest. Does not work on Sundays.

An essential place for BUREK!, please do not miss this place! One of my favourite places to eat at. Everyone of my friends from abroad was astonished with the delicious food served here, I believe you will also like it. Try the "pita with spinach" my favourite! Sometimes it's difficult to find a table but waiting for a few minutes is worthwhile. Try to arrive around noon to have the freshest burek ever! Everyone in Sarajevo knows this place to be one of the best.

Everyone in Sarajevo knows this place to be one of the best.
Because every Sarajevan has a favourite "Cevabdzinica" (a cevapi place) and claims his is the best one. Hodzic is simply excellent and is in the Old Town. 10 cevapi with onions and a yogurth is simply a must and it's about 7-8 KM.

A great "pita/burek" place just 3 minutes from our apartment. Diba serves great pita with spinach, and excellent pita with cheese. Diba works only until afternoon so take a note of that. Everything you get at Diba's is fresh served and guaranteed to be tasty, believe me, I've been eating there for decades.

A nice bar and coffee shop designed in the style of ex-Yugoslavia during the last century. The prices are not expensive, try to order some local RAKIJA (perhaps Travarica). Sometimes it's difficult to find a free table in the evening.

A nice spot for beer lovers. It's operated by the most famous brewery in the region - Sarajevsko. You can have several types of beer there, meet people, and have some snacks. Not expensive at all.

Meeting point cinema has a very nice café which also serves wine and beer. A favourite place of ours, especially the terrace.

Definitely to be visited with a friend or a group, since it is a bit out of town. Vrelo Bosne or the spring of river Bosna is an amazing nature park with small lakes and trails between them. A place that nature lovers don't want to miss! The entrance costs 2 KM for adults and 1 KM for students/children. You can reach it by tram number 3 to Ilidza and walk 15 minutes from Ilidza to there.
At the park you can take a horse carriage ride or just enjoy the nature. Remember that during the summer weekends the place is overcrowded.

A shopping mall in which you can find a lot of stuff, supermarket (Konzum, in minus 1), coffee shops and patisseries, clothes, electronic and computer stores, pharmacy, jewellery, mobile phone equipment, apple products, and a lot of other stuff as well. I recommend the coffee shop Vatra on 2nd floor. BBI center is open 09-22.

A breath of freedom was reached through a tunnel to the city that was choking and was enough to give people new strength for survival in the years of war that followed. Because of the military, political, psychological significance and importance for the supply of the city that it had, it was the top kept secret - "a tunnel which is not, e.g. which does not exist".
Reaching the "Tunel Spasa Mueseum" is possibly by taking a taxi from city center; or by taking a tram number 3 from the Presidency and reaching Ilidza than taking a 15 minute walk.
