Den Gamle By (The Old Town) is a national open-air museum of urban history and culture in Denmark through three centuries. The museum consists of more than 75 historic houses relocated from all over Denmark.
Besides the historic houses and the appartments in the 1974 section, there are more than 34 workshops and shops as well as a pharmacy, a school, a post office, a telephone exchange, a jazzbar and much more. Furthermore the museum has its own theater, the Elsinore Theatre, which is used for opera, chamber concerts, festivals etc.

Great spot on top of the shopping center with good views from here. Dare to walk on the glass bridge for a thrill!

First stop on my favorite walk to the Marselisborg beaches. There are some seafood restaurants and coffee/ice cream places. Definitely worth a look.

If you have longer time in Aarhus I recommend a day trip to this Island. Still on my to-do list I must admit but I heard only good things. :)

Aarhus enlosed public beach & bath. It's only open to public June - August, the rest of the year to members of the winter bathing club. People usually soak the sun sitting against the southern wall.

My favourite spot for a swim and a beautiful 15 mins bike ride away. There are changing facilities, a shower and a bathing bridge from which you can enter the water.
Great mid way spot for a run - jump in the water and jog back through mindeparken.

Hidden gem in Aarhus - not many people have discovered this secret beach yet. Go all around the back of the marina and enjoy a swim there. This is also dive spot.
