LOCAL. It's a beautiful park, 10 mins south of our place. Go there for a picnic, to play in the splash pad or to visit the zoo. There are great play areas too.

LOCAL. Great spot for families as there are two sets of play equipment (one for smaller kids and one for the older/larger kids); splash pad in the summer and lots of shade. It's a bit closer than high park too.

You need to take a ferry to get to the Islands, but it's a lot of fun for families, dates and groups of friends having picnics. There are a few islands (centreville, wards, etc). There are bike rentals and a small amusement park on Centreville.
