The Oak Leaf is an awesome recreational trail that you can run or walk, even bike. It runs through Lake Park but also traverses the whole of Milwaukee County. You can access from the house in Lake Park and take it to the Milwaukee Art Museum, downtown or the Summerfest grounds, heading south. Or, go north and see where it leads you. :)

You can access from the house in Lake Park and take it to the Milwaukee Art Museum, downtown or the Summerfest grounds, heading south. Or, go north and see where it leads you. :)
Lots of places to picnic, hit the beach, and have some family time. Even a nice mini-golf course.

The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) has good routes to move you all around the city. Bus stops are right outside the front door of the apartment. Go to the MCTS website to get route information and time estimates for your trips.
