Great dinner restaurant. SO good. Spanish Tapas, but with a modern twist. You will love everything on the menu, I promise. Get your name on the list, and then go upstairs to the Secret Society cocktail bar while you wait. I cannot say enough how good their cocktails are...and how cozy and dark and romantic it all feels. This is my perfect dinner/date night out.

Yep, a wonderful french bakery and sandwich shop. I get a bag of chouquettes with every coffee...to-die-for. But something for everyone. No wifi. But a great place to sit outside on a sunny morning or read the paper inside on a rainy day. Crowded on weekends. Fresh bread to go.

An island beach on the Columbia River. Sandy and pretty. The perfect spot to walk alone on the riverfront in Fall, Winter, and Spring and watch the big ships, tankers and barges coming from across the sea to the port of Portland. Or sunbathe with the crowds in summers. Get a parking pass from the Cracker Barrel before going.
