Just outside the front door! A great place for a morning coffee and sandwich on the weekends. They offer free WiFi and are family friendly. It can get busy during beautiful Tacoma summer days.

The Seattle restaurant chain just opened it's new location just down the street. It's authentic German brats and beer with bocce ball to boot. Plan accordingly, the place has been packed since it opened last month.

It's a cafe. It's a tapas bar. It's a taproom. It's a lot of fun is what it is. Under the same ownership as Cook's Tavern next door, you get a great selection of local beers, and an amazing artisan taco selection. We usually just get the sampler and enjoy.

A great new addition to the North End. Their rotating seasonal menu really takes advantage of PNW ingredients. A solid staff make this place a great choice for a relaxing brunch or evening meal.

This is our favorite place to go for breakfast. They have a solid menu, generous portions, good staff, and an awesome bar. The happy hour is also worth your time here. And yes, they put bacon in their bloody marys. I know, right!

The newest micro brewery in the area. They took an old building a made a great space out of it. Think beautiful wood beams. They have about eight beers rotating on tap and they are big! They usually have a food truck out front and it can get busy in the evenings. Definitely worth the trip.

They usually have a food truck out front and it can get busy in the evenings. Definitely worth the trip.

Our favorite watering hole in Tacoma! They have an amazing selection of beers, put their Randall in to operation on Tuesdays, and host brewer's nights all the time. They're great for burgers and soups and nachos. It's where everybody knows your name :)

Literally a few minute walk down the street. They make great drinks, have about 10 beers on tap, and their bar food will get it done in a pinch. Their kitchen stays open until 11pm on weekdays.

You can't leave Washington State in the summer without hiking up to Camp Muir to see the professionals prepare for their summit of the peak. Can be done in a day in shorts and hiking shoes. Bring lots of food, water, and sunglasses, and sunscreen.

One of the nicest parks I've been to and it's only a short drive from here. They also have an aquarium.
